Beginning/Intermediate Level English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes Start Monday, August 19, 2019

This class is for adults whose native language is not English. Students will be given instruction and practice in speaking, writing, and reading in English on a variety of topics.

Topics covered will include, but not limited to:

Housing - Rent/Buying

Health - Medical Forms/Insurance/Questions to Ask

Employment - Applications/Resumes/Interviews

Transportation - Commuting in Town/Traveling

The instructor for the class is Jessica Jones, who has more than 10 years of teaching experience. She is employed as an ESL teacher and has worked as an adult ESL volunteer.

Classes begin on August 19 and conclude on December 11 (classes meet every Monday and Wednesday; no classes on Oct. 28 or 30)

Time: 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Location: Carl Sandburg College, Main Campus, Galesburg

Cost: $100 (no textbook required)
